Environmental Management System (EMS)
ISO 14001 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organization to formulate an effective policy and set objectives that help meet legal requirements and use information about significant environmental impacts. It is about those environmental impacts that the organization can manage and that are expected to have an impact on them. The basic requirements are to implement, document, apply and maintain an environmental management system (EMS) and continuously improve it.
